2 Day Paediatric First Aid

This course will be of particular interest to Teachers in Nursery, infant primary and junior settings, Child Minders, Creche Assistants, Playgroup personnel and anyone responsible for youth organisations.

This course has been developed for those who are working with children and babies. Paediatric first aid is defined as being for children up to puberty. In a school setting this course is relevant to those in day-care and EYFS settings up to approximately age 14. It is ideal for those who are responsible for the health and welfare of children and babies, and who wish to gain knowledge of emergency procedures and attain a recognised qualification in First Aid.
It meets the required standards and guidelines as defined by OFSTED and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

Course Overview

Entry requirements:
There are no entry requirements. We are obliged to state that the minimum age for participation in this course is 16 years of age.

Method of Tuition:  
This is a practical taught course. There are tutor lead sessions and practical activities.

Assessment requirements: 
Successful students will be issued with a Level 2 certificate in paediatric first aid

Non-completion 
Only participants who attend both days and successfully complete the assessments will be issued with the accredited certificates.

The assessment at the end of day one counts as one unit towards a Level 2 qualification so participants can complete the course in stages if desired.

  • Costs for up to 12 participants from £2300+VAT to £2700+VAT. The cost of first aid books, student packs and certificates are included in this price
  • The cost per participant can be as little as £191.66+VAT, if all 12 places are filled.
  • Should you wish to share the training (and the cost) with another school you are welcome to do so.

A former combat trained medic within HM Forces (Army) Bob is an experienced and qualified first aid instructor. He is qualified to teach a wide range of first aid courses including 3 day first aid at work; paediatric first aid and defibrillator training. He is a professional Health and Safety consultant registered with the OSHCR and registered Professional Engineer with long managerial, practical and instructional experience.  He provides fully accredited Health & Safety consultancy and first aid training courses by either OFQUAL, IOSH, IATP and FPA.
