Making better use of your time

Not every senior manager has the time to check the SEF to ensure its quality. We have available a team of consultants who will read and evaluate your SEF, tell you how good it is, what may be necessary to improve it, and if you wish, produce the finished document for you.

Using information technology

You send Part A of the SEF to us electronically. We evaluate the document without visiting your school. This provides a speedy, cost effective solution.

Ensuring quality

We check each section and make recommendations about improving quality, clarity, and the fairness and accuracy of judgements. In the process, we help you improve the school’s underlying self-evaluation systems and evidence base. In the standard service, checks are made against the PANDA and the school development plan. In the enhanced service, a consultant works with you to collate the necessary evidence and support you with the writing.

Standard; Ł220 plus VAT
Enhanced: Ł550 plus VAT (includes one day on-site)

Standard service

With the standard service, you send a copy to us by e-mail, with the document formatted using Microsoft Word. If you do not have a version in Word then we send you a template (the Ofsted website allows copying and pasting). If you do not have time to create a version in Word, then send a hard copy and, for a little extra, our office staff will create one for you. The SEF is edited using the Track Changes feature in Microsoft Word. Where changes and rewording are straightforward, then we rewrite sections for you. If not, then we add comments and make suggestions. In addition, you receive a written evaluation based on the quality criteria together with an interpretation of the SEF from an inspector’s perspective. You return the SEF to us for final checks before placing it on the Ofsted website.

Enhanced service

We send a consultant to your school to help you collate and interpret existing evidence. Afterwards, the consultant works with you using electronic communications to help write the SEF.

Payment

You do not pay until the services are complete. Please send a school order with the order form below. We will send you an invoice, which should be paid within 30 days of the service date. The quality of our service is guaranteed.
