School Website Audit and Report: Meeting Statutory Requirements
School websites are the first point of contact for prospective parents, local authority staff and Ofsted inspectors and are subject to statutory requirements which change annually.
What information must we publish on our school website?
“Every local-authority-maintained school must publish specific information on its website to comply with The School Information (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2016.” (Ofsted Guidance – What maintained schools, must publish online). The information for academies and free schools is found in a separate guidance document.
PBM Training provides an external school website audit and report which helps school leaders to ensure that their school website meets current government requirements for maintained schools, academies and free schools. It also helps schools prepare for inspection. The review systematically checks that your school website is compliant. Where your website does not comply, or is only partially compliant, the consultant provides clear suggestions and next steps, not only in relation to statutory requirements but also to reflect best practice. The detailed report can be used to aid action planning.
The review is carried out by experienced and highly qualified consultants who have extensive backgrounds within inspection.
The service is suitable for local authority schools and for academies or free schools. In each instance, different rules and guidance applies.
The service is conducted off site and is typically completed within 10 working days. If you require the report sooner than 10 working days, please discuss this with a member of the administration team. Where practical we will always endeavour to work to your deadline. Where this is not possible, we will advise you.
